Exhibition Proposal: Advance Notice
A series of A4 images, based on Kenneth White’s writing, capable of
being simply and inexpensively presented in an A2 frame. Images should
be vertical in format so that the option exists of hanging the work next
to the text (similarly framed). Should the option to publish arise, the
format would more easily translate into a simple (and inexpensive) book
format.
Brief:
Artists/photographers are invited to make a visual response to a piece
of writing (prose or poem) by Kenneth White. The piece should be
capable of duplication by photographic process or by digital scan so that it
can be presented two dimensionally within a simple frame.
Media:
Any (drawing, painting, photograph, textile, mixed media, print,
sculpture, etc).
Framing:
It is proposed to frame each work under glass within a standard matt
aluminium A2 frame. The framing cost for each submission will be
approximately £17-£20.
Image Size:
A4 (21 x 29.7 cm) portrait format (i.e. vertical)
